We have made available multiple files to help you understand your data files.
There are generally two data files made available on the portal.
The first is the read-data file. It has the numbers of time each sequence was read for each sample.
The second is the esv-data file. It has a list of all the species for each ESV. If more than one species matches to a particular sequence, you potentially would need this file to better understand what species the DNA might have come from.

For diet data, we have also put together a file to help scientists work up their diet data. Click here.

We are working to update this section as well as our data portal to make interpreting results easier.
