At your site, suck up 60 mL of water with the syringe. Attach the syringe filter and push water through. Repeat until you cannot push any more water through. This might be 60 mL in turbid water to 500 mL in clear water. Fill the 60 mL syringe with air and push that through the filter as well to dry it. Take the 1 mL of preservative and push it into the filter. Cap the filter with the red Luer lock caps. Place the filter into the barcoded bag and send it back to us!
